LaMontagne Gallery is proud to present new work by New York based artist Jordan Eagles.
Jordan Eagles has garnered cross-disciplinary public and critical attention for his dynamic and meticulous processes using blood, copper and resin. His multidimensional works become relics of that which was once living, embodying transformation, regeneration, and an allegory of death to life—transforming blood as sublime.
The artist’s recent solo museum exhibitions include the Everson Museum of Art (Syracuse, NY), the Mütter Museum (Philadelphia, PA), the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art (St. Louis, MI), The Fogelman Galleries of Contemporary Art at the University of
Memphis(Memphis,TN),and the International Museum of Surgical Science (Chicago, IL). Eagles is also the first artist to present a site specific installation inside the main chapel of the historic Trinity Church Wall Street (New York, NY).
Jordan Eagles' works are included in numerous collections including the Addison Gallery of American Art, The Everson Museum of Art, The Princeton University Art Museum, The Peabody Essex Museum, The Fuller Craft Museum, The University of Michigan Museum of Art and The Museum of Sex. Eagles' works have been featured inThe New York Times, Time, Village Voice, New York Magazine, L'Uomo Vogue, Architectural Digest Italy, VS Magazine, Artforum, The Huffington Post and PBS.
Eagles’ 2nd solo exhibition in Boston, BLOOD DUST, will open at Boston Center for the Arts on April 25th, 2014.
